You know what a utility-scale renewable site looks like when it’s running right, and you can usually spot when safety, quality, logistics, or schedule are starting to drift before they become bigger problems.
This is your chance to bring that field experience to the owner’s side of a utility-scale renewable energy project in Royal City, WA , overseeing EPC performance without being responsible for directing their means and methods.
What you’ll do: You’ll be the owner’s eyes and ears in the field, keeping the project aligned with the contract, IFC drawings, milestones, and expectations.
- Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite activities across safety, quality, schedule, and environmental compliance.
- Walk the work, verify construction against drawings and specifications, and address issues before they grow.
- Review construction sequencing, progress, labor productivity, logistics, and upcoming milestones.
- Lead site meetings and coordinate with the CPM, Engineering, EPC, OEM suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Track OFE/OEM deliveries, procurement issues, material handling, and Care, Custody & Control transfers.
- Conduct safety and quality inspections, including First Build and Golden Row/Golden Tower reviews.
- Identify schedule and execution risks early and help the project team develop practical mitigation plans.
What you get: $60–$70/hour on a project currently scheduled through October 2027, with approximately 50 hours per week. Eligible travelers can receive $160/day per diem , including eligible weekends, plus a rotation home every four weeks with flight reimbursement up to $600. A project truck and laptop are provided, along with a $50/month cell phone allowance. Eligible mobilizations may also receive $1,500.
Just as important, you’ll gain owner/developer-side utility renewable construction experience, a valuable next step if most of your career has been spent working for an EPC, contractor, engineering firm, or CM.
Who you are: You’ve spent 3–5 years around utility-scale solar or wind construction and understand how a large renewable project actually gets built in the field. You can hold contractors accountable without trying to run their crews, understand construction sequencing, and know when safety, quality, or schedule deserves attention. You’re comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and having the difficult conversations that keep a project moving.
A high school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor’s degree, safety certifications, or GC license are useful, but field credibility matters more here.
